Hiking Around Ucluelet
Only a few minutes from our bed and breakfast, hikers may explore the Wild Pacific Trail and the beaches and trails of the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve.
The Long Beach Unit of the Pacific Rim National Park Reserve is located between the villages of Ucluelet and Tofino, and named after the 16 km (10 miles) of sandy beach at Wickaninnish Bay. Explore the many trails and beaches in the park. Our favourites are the Rainforest trail, the Shorepine bog trail and Schooner Cove trail.
The Wild Pacific Trail is located in the District of Ucluelet and is a seven phase trail system skirting the rugged cliffs and shoreline of the west coast of Vancouver Island. Overlooking Barkley Sound and the Broken Group Islands to the east and the open Pacific Ocean to the south and west, this trail offers spectacular shoreline panoramas and seaward vistas through ancient cedar and spruce-framed viewing platforms constructed on the best headlands along the route.
